Dafabet in India: Legal and Access Information
General information only. This page is not legal advice.
Indian online gaming law changed materially during 2025 and 2026. Older articles that describe online betting or real-money games as generally available in India may no longer reflect the current national framework.
The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibits the offering, operation or facilitation of online money gaming services. It also prohibits related advertising and facilitation of fund transfers for online money gaming services. The Act came into force on 1 May 2026.
